HCPM's Statement of Faith 1. The Bible is the infallible, authoritative Word of God. 2. There is One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; that He shed His blood and died for our sins; in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. 4. Man has sinned and thus is separated from God. 5. Salvation is by grace through faith. It is the free gift of God received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 6. We believe in the Holy Spirit, and all the gifts that he bestows upon God and His Children. 7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life; the lost unto the resurrection of an eternal separation from God. 8. We believe in the importance of the local church; we believe a New Testament church is a local assembly of believers united in an organization to practice New Testament ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper), to meet together for worship, prayer, fellowship and teaching, 9. We believe that we have a responsibility to actively engage in the proclamation of the Gospel, the good news, to all of mankind. |
