Hancock County Prison Ministry was founded by Pastor Samuel Leonardi in December of 2001. With the blessing of Rev.Dr.Wayne Buchanon the senior pastor of the West Tremont Larger Parish Mount Desert Island Maine, and a board of elders to oversee activities, Hancock County Prison Ministry reaches out to those who are in the prison system. Hancock County Prison Ministry is a nondemonational, nonprofit, Christian Prison ministry. We take the Bible literally as what it is, the inspired Word of God. It is our firm belief that even the most hardened of criminals, or troubled youth offenders, can be touched and changed forever by the power and love of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
